Chapter 38.1 – Routine (1)
Early morning.
After Jiang Yan washed up,
she walked back to the room, and saw Lu Jin holding the curtains in his hand,
looking out from the gap between them.
Jiang Yan moved towards
him, squeezed in under his arms, and followed his gaze.
In the spacious courtyard,
Uncle Wang was wearing a white silk long dress and trousers, playing Tai Chi
under the tree, in a leisurely manner. On the side, Uncle Wang’s wife is
feeding the chickens by the chicken shed.
"What are you looking
at?" Jiang Yan looked outside, then looked up at him.
"Nothing." Lu
Jin lowered the curtains: "Where are you going today?"
"Let’s go to
school." Jiang Yan walked to the closet to tidy up her camera and
recording equipment: "First understand the basic information of the
students in the school, then visit their families, and then edit these
interviews together, calling the society to pay attention to these children left
behind in the countryside."
She possibly briefed Lu
Jin about her task this time.
"Because you are my
husband, you don't need to visit with us, you can just wander around the
village to see if there are any clues."
He raised his eyebrows:
"Your husband's identity?"
Jiang Yan's face turned
red: "Fake husband!"
"Oh, sharing the bed
with your fake husband last night, did Reporter Jiang sleep well?"
Jiang Yan hummed: "I
didn't sleep well at all!"
"What's the
matter?"
"You hold a gun to my
waist, all night long, who can sleep well?"
"..."
"..."
Lu Jin blushed
unexpectedly, a rare spectacle.
In the morning, a
truckload of people went to school again. Of course, Lu Jin didn't follow the
team. He said that he didn't sleep well last night and had to sleep at home.
Jiang Yan certainly didn't
believe that he really wanted to sleep, he must be doing his own work. After
all, his purpose of coming here this time was to spot the old drug lord lurking
in the village.
"What? You and Lu Jin
slept in the same room last night?" Duan Nan's chin was about to fall, "Is
it time for both of you guys to get together?"
"Be quiet."
Jiang Yan said in a low voice: "Because we have no other option to sleep
together if we want to act as a couple."
"Hehehe..."
"Stop it." Jiang
Yan glanced at him: "It's not as messy as you think."
"I just thought of
something about me." Duan Nan said with a smile, "If something really
happened between you guys, would you still be able to get up so early in morning
came with me to school?"
The more we talk about
this topic, the more wrong it gets. Jiang Yan coughed lightly: "It's still
business only."
Duan Nan walked into the
office with her and took out a document from the cabinet: "The information
of classmates whose parents go out to work away from home, you can look through
them and select typical home visits."
Jiang Yan flipped it
casually and said, "It's quite detailed."
"You ordered me to
get everything, can I deal with it casually?"
"Thanks, I will
invite you to dinner when we go back."
"I am waiting."
Jiang Yan sat in a chair
and began to look through the materials. At this time, a young female teacher
walked into the office with red eyes. She threw the textbooks on the table in a
rage.
"Ms. Li, what's
wrong?"
"It's Sun Hong from
the junior high school. Even if he arrives late and skips school, I didn’t say
anything, and now he is playing poker in the classroom. I criticized him but he
is fiercer than me. This student cannot be taught
"His father died
early, and his mother was not at home all the time. Grandparents at the home
love the child and can't control him." Other teachers persuaded,
"Don't get angry. You have to take your time to deal with such a stubborn
child."
The first page of Jiang
Yan’s information is Sun Hong’s name. He is in the third grade of junior high
school this year and is about to graduate. His father died of illness in his
early years, and his mother worked in the city and did not go home for many
years. Family, now he lives with his grandparents.
Jiang Yan looked at the
data sheet carefully: "Sun Hong..."
Duan Nan raised an eyebrow
and asked, "Interested?"
At this moment, two
students hurried into the office: "Report...Report to the teacher! Sun
Hong grabbed a classmate's schoolbag on the playground!"
The teachers put down
their work and hurried to the playground. Several boys were pulling on the
playground. The tallest one had a black face and a round head, and looked
fierce and evil.
The other two boys are
relatively small and appear very thin due to malnutrition.
"Sun Hong! Don't
bully the younger classmates!" The male teacher yelled. Sun Hong raised
his head and saw several teachers. He threw down the glutinous rice cake he had
stolen from his hand, turned and ran.
"Stop, bastard, don't
run!"
The principal happened to
come back from outside the school gate and directly blocked Sun Hong's path,
"What's wrong, what's wrong with you bastard?"
Sun Hong was surrounded by
several teachers and cursed: "Heck, your mother."
It's a stubborn and
insulting appearance.
"Teacher, he robbed
me of my money!" Seeing that a teacher was supporting him, the bullied
classmate quickly stood up and said, "He robbed me of 10 yuan!"
"Who robbed you of
your money!" Sun Hong spit: "I only robbed your black rice
cake."
Another classmate also
stood up to testify: "Teacher, he robbed the money!"
"Nonsense, I didn't
grab your money!"
"Sun Hong, you
usually don't listen to lectures in class, skip class, and now you have
developed into a robber?" Teacher Li said angrily, "Hand over the
money you robbed of your classmates."
Sun Hong flushed
anxiously, and said repeatedly: "I didn't grab the money! What to pay!"
"Teacher, the money
is in his bag!"
Sun Hong instinctively
covered his left bag: "This is the money I bought this so I can buy my old lady pancakes. I didn't grab it!"
"Sun Hong, you must
hand over the money, otherwise you won't come to school tomorrow." Teacher
Li said angrily, "I have taught for so many years, and I have never seen
such a stubborn student like you!"
Seeing the principal and
the teachers all around him, Sun Hong's originally dark face flushed with
anxiety and was emotional.
He took out two ten-yuan
bills from his bag, crumpled them up and threw them on the faces of the two
students: "Take it! I gave you a charity! Take it and buy a coffin!"
