The CEO’s Cute and Delicate Daughter chapter 1.1

Chapter 1.1

The South Island is located in the southern part of the bay area. There the air quality is excellent, and together with the blue sky and white clouds, it makes amazing scenery. This place is considered as one
of the top ten tourist places in China.

Lu Qingxin currently worked at the Dream Island Hotel in South Island. It was a rainy night when she came to this island, pregnant with her kids and travelled for more than half of her country to the South Island so that she could receive help from her best friend. A few months later she gave birth to a pair of beautiful twins there. Since then alongside the beautiful sea, she settled there.

It wasn’t even 6 AM yet, and Lu QingXin already got up and started preparing breakfast. in the amidst of busy morning just as she went to wake up her son, she saw that he already woke up and was neatly dressed in a fine little suit with a little bow tie around his neck looking like a fine young gentleman.
Lu QingXin’s heart almost skipped a beat. She thought that her son looked so… so much like that person…

Suddenly the toaster chimed in the kitchen waking up Lu QingXin from her thoughts. And then she immediately left her son and dashed back into the kitchen. She was almost knocked over by a chair in the dining room. She placed the toast on a plate along with a fried egg and a cup of hot milk but the toast was a bit too hard and the edges of the egg was a bit burned.

Lu Hao, as the eldest child of the two children, acted like a little adult. He sighed and said to his mother, “Mom, I am leaving soon. You shouldn’t make breakfast anymore. You should either bring my little sister with you to Aunty Gu’s place for breakfast or just buy it from outside.” Looking at the bizarre-looking blackened egg and toast sitting on the porcelain plate, he was truly worried that after eating them his little sister might have a bad stomachache.

Today was the day that Lu Hao is going to follow his music teacher to study in Austria. He might be gone for a long time. As the only man in the house, he was extremely worried. His mother was a big mess who couldn’t even cook breakfast and his little sister was a little lazy and delicate to top. Occasionally, she also has a little bit of a temper. What are they going to do without him is always watching and caring about them.

Ahh, now he was truly worried.

Lu QingXin smiled with a little embarrassment. She subtly started shuffling to one side and said, “I am going to wake MengMeng. Why is she always oversleeping? She is going to be late for her kindergarten.”

Lu Hao said with the most serious look, “Don’t take her to the wrong kindergarten again like you did before. I will be calling her kindergarten teachers on a regular basis to see how she’s doing in school. And you be careful at work and stop bumping into things and hurting yourself. Work hard and take care of your own health…”

As her 4-year-old continued on about what she needed to be aware of, all Lu QingXin could think of was, “……” Hey, now? Am I your mother here or are you our father???

The three of them lived in a not-very-big-but-very-complete apartment. The twins, Lu Hao and Lu MengMeng lived in the little attic. The little attic wasn’t too small and there was a little bay window in the middle that one could see the ocean from it. Lu QingXin placed two little desks in front of the window for the two of them. On the other side of the room, there were their little beds, separated by a pretty curtain. Those were their own private spaces. Lu QingXin was a very liberal mother and told them they could decorate their own areas however they wanted.

Lu Hao preferred a simple black and white decorations and, contrarily, Lu MengMeng preferred pastel colours – pastel pink, pastel blue, pastel green – making her side looked like gingerbread houses resided by princesses in storybooks. There was nothing wrong with their room other than it being a little bit small.

Lu MengMeng was still rolling around under the blanket in her pink little bed, showing only her pink and chubby little face, a big nose and a tiny mouth. Her eyes were still closed and her eyelashes were long and curly, making her look even more adorable.

Compared to being nervous every time she saw her older son’s serious face, Lu QingXin’s heart melted every time she saw her little daughter. She was to her like a pretty and tasty piece of candy; she worried that it’d melt if she put it in her mouth, or that she’d drop it if she carried it in her hand. She loved both of her children very much. She was very glad that she kept them out of a moment of weakness. They were worth all the hardships that followed.
